ABOUT ENHANCE PHOTOGRAPHY
 Hi,
I'm Susan Morrison, owner of ENHANCE PHOTOGRAPHY. Ever since I was a
little girl, I've loved taking pictures. I remember as a child
playing with my Brownie camera and tweaking my brother into strange
poses on the front lawn. When my son was little, it's a wonder
his first word wasn't "cheese" instead of "Mama"
because he had the camera stuck in his face so much.
As a former police officer in Maine, I was trained in perpetrator composite sketch development and evidence photography. That's where I learned the nuts and bolts of good photography, so to speak, because you HAVE to get it right the first time, a clear, concise and perfectly exposed picture to use in court. After moving to California, I worked as a photographer's assistant to Master Photographer John Hierling, who taught me the ropes about lighting, posing and a lot about human nature and the art of photography; I later worked in his studio doing custom portraiture in medium format and 35mm. From there I worked with Grace Studios, a premiere boudoir and glamour studio that specialized in very high end female portraiture and society weddings. I was also licensed as a concert photographer shooting major concert venues in Sacramento and Newport Beach, CA. and was a member of American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP). I moved to Atlanta in 1996 and opened my own studio doing general family portraiture and weddings. I was also a member of the Professional Photographers of America, PPA. I was active with Open Mic Atlanta and being a music performer myself, I photographed many up and coming acoustic musicians in the area. At that time, I partnered with Robb Cohen Photography, a major concert photographer who shoots for VH1 and Pollstar magazine. I assisted Robb in shooting Atlanta's large Music Midtown venue where I photographed stars such as David Lee Roth, The Georgia Satellites, Earth Wind and Fire and many others. Using our photography, we developed a business designing rock posters for Christina Aguilera, Willie Nelson, Alicia Keys, Puddle of Mudd and The Calling. Since relocating to the Golden Isles of Georgia in 2003, I have concentrated on building my wedding and family portraiture business. In my occasional spare time, I enjoy scanning and restoring old family pictures to their former glory, to preserve those memories forever. I'm an ongoing student in the visual arts and participate in professional seminars and retreats in photography and digital artistry to bring my skills to the next level.
