MY BEAUTIFUL AUNT RUTH 

Of all the pictures I've ever taken, this one of my Aunt Ruth is one of my favorites. Aunt Ruth (or Tootie, as she is known to all of us who know and love her dearly) is a vivacious redhead full of spunk and laughter and one of the kindest people you could ever meet in this world. She played piano in church every Sunday for over 55 years and dearly loves her Lord. When you sit at her table, she'll serve you a piece of her famous peanut butter pie and sit and giggle with you about old times. 

This was taken when I last visited her at her home in Maine. I seated her at her dining room window and draped a mattress pad over her china cabinet to make a backdrop. While I was adjusting my camera, she looked out into the clouds above and remarked on what a beautiful day it was, and uttered her favorite saying, "God's in His Heaven..." And I took this shot.

 Aunt Tootie is 84 and now has diabetes, kidney problems and cancer, but I am so glad I took this picture of her as I will always have it to remember her by. And when I look at her loving smile, I know that all 
IS right with the world.
